Transparency in Action

Documenting our regenerative journey

Transparency is central to the Greenbite philosophy. Through the Farm Journal, we document the journey of the farm openly - from soil preparation and plantation cycles to crop experiments and seasonal harvests.

The farm journal allows anyone to follow the evolution of a regenerative farm in real time.

Soil Preparation for Monsoon Season

March 15, 2024

Our team has begun preparing the soil for the upcoming monsoon season. We're applying Ghan Jeevamrut to enhance microbial activity and building organic matter through green manure composting.

Soil tests show promising improvements in organic carbon content from 1.2% to 1.8% over the past three months.

🌾

Mixed Cropping Patterns Established

March 8, 2024

We've successfully established our mixed cropping patterns for the season. The main field now includes wheat, gram, and moong beans in strategic combinations that support soil health and pest management.

Border planting with marigold and basil has created natural pest barriers and attracted beneficial insects.

💧

Rainwater Harvesting Complete

February 28, 2024

Our rainwater harvesting systems are now fully operational. Three new ponds can capture and store over 2 lakh liters of rainwater, providing irrigation security for the dry season.

These water systems will reduce our dependency on external water sources by 60% during critical growing periods.

🌿

Medicinal Plant Corridors Planted

February 15, 2024

We've established medicinal plant corridors along the farm boundaries. Ashwagandha, tulsi, and aloe vera plants now create ecological corridors that support biodiversity and provide additional income streams.

These plants also serve as natural pest deterrents and improve the farm's ecosystem balance.
